WATCH: Arima house destroyed by fire

Fire officers are expected to return to the scene of a blaze today to determine the cause of a fire which destroyed an unoccupied structure in Arima yesterday afternoon.

According to reports, around 1pm yesterday, fire officers received a report that a one-storey structure along Cocorite Road, in Arima, was ablaze.

 

 

A team of officers from the Arima Fire Station responded and they were thankfully able to contain the fire.
However, the house was completely destroyed.

From initial estimates, police were told that the house had a value of $1 million.

There was no official cause for the fire up to late yesterday and as a result officials are expected to return to the scene today.
