WATCH: College Boy Jesse to embark on Hollywood/UK tour

Soca artist College Boy Jesse has been working hard behind the scenes for 2017. He took a brief step back from being on the soca scene and spent much of 2017 writing and networking.

"I wrote more songs for others and released more of my own. In addition, I focused on visuals by representing each release with a video and paid attention to the entertainment element of my performance. He also mentioned that he has been developing his craft as a musician by learning to play instruments," he said.

He's written chart-toppers for a number of artists in 2016 and 2017 including Machel Montano and Skinny Fabulous (Go Hard), Lyrikal (Freedom), Teddyson John and Kerwin Dubois (New Day), Rikki Jai’s (My Last), Skinny Fabulous (No Broughtupsy) and Adana (Doh Tote) who won the 2017 International Soca Monarch Breakout Artist award.

His hard work has paid off as he's just embarked on an international tour that will take him to Europe and Hollywood. Performing at Soca Frenzy in London over the past weekend, he's also performed at Soca vs. Dancehall in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He'll complete his tour with Mirage Mas Band for Hollywood Carnival on June 24.

He's also hinted at a few video releases, collaborations with international acts and a music relationship with DJ Shaker HD from the United Kingdom.
