Watch: Fallen trees damage power lines in Maraval

Maraval residents who may have experienced a dip in their power supply are advised that this was the result of fallen trees which occurred on Thursday morning.

Vidoe footage showed massive trees which appeared to have fallen on electricity lines along Saddle Road, Maraval.

However, Corporate Communications Manager at the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC), Anabelle Brasnell, said that power had already been rerouted to homes and electricity flow restored by 9.30 am on Thursday.

Work was being done up to Thursday morning to remove the fallen trees.

Drivers are advised of a possible traffic disruption along Saddle Road as a result and are advised to seek alternate routes if possible.

To report downed power lines or any electrical emergencies, contact T&TEC on 800-TTEC (8832) or 800-BULB (2852).
