Arima Mayor Lisa Morris-Julian shows her stained finger after voting this morning.

Arima’s Mayor and People’s National Movement candidate for D’Abadie/O’Meara, Lisa Morris-Julian, exercised her franchise at the Arima Central Secondary School today.

Asked whether there were any reports of irregularities in the Arima area, Morris-Julian said that there were minor reports made regarding a polling station in Carapo, but police were able to rectify them quickly.

Despite the hiccup, the Mayor says she was looking forward to tonight’s election results as she expects to begin serving as a member of Parliament alongside Arima candidate, Penelope Beckles-Robinson.
