Dwight Sutherland was re-elected for St. George South.

Bridgetown was painted the same colour as the 30 constituencies of Barbados in the wee hours of Friday morning, May 25, 2018 - red.

Supporters of the winning Barbados Labour Party (BLP) along with the Leader and Barbados' eighth Prime Minister Mia Mottley, and many of her 29 newly-elected representatives were everywhere in Roebuck Street, Bridgetown, celebrating the landslide victory.

Former Prime Minister Freundel Stuart conceded the General Election just after 3 am on May 25. At the point in time when he spoke to the media to make the monumental announcement the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) candidates were in deep trouble as they lost even in boxes which were DLP strongholds traditionally. In some constituencies when the count was done, some DLP candidates won in none of their boxes. The BLP took the government in a 30-0 historic result.

Loop went down to the BLP headquarters in The City after the victory was announced and chatted with representatives and supporters.
