Promoters: Traffic management plans in place

Patrons have been advised that management teams from three events (Beachouse, C'est La Vie and Farmhouse Cooler Fete) have met with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) to create a cohesive traffic management plan to assist with alleviating the congestion heading West.

Additional traffic management officers were hired to assist and patrons are advised to follow their instructions in order to facilitate a smooth flow of traffic on Thursday.

Trying to avoid the traffic? Here are some options:

1. Carpool

This is a no-brainer. If heading down to a fete try to go down with groups in one car to utilise space efficiently.

2. Grab an Uber

Download the Uber app for Android or iPhone; you can also share a ride with others which also works out cheaper for you.

3. Get a 'Drop'

Get a lift with the 'Drop' app for Android or iPhone and share the cost with your group. Now you can enjoy your all-inclusive drinks to your heart's content.

4. Hire a maxi

You still have time to arrange for a maxi-taxi to take your crew down to the fete. Call the Route 2 Maxi Taxi Association on 624-3505 to get more information.

5. Go early

This goes without saying but being on time for a fete in this situation can save you an extra hour of pain. Organise your crew and leave on time, to get there ahead of the crowds.
