Watch: Pan on the Avenue postponed after washout

Heavy rains and resulting flash floods on Sunday forced organisers of the much anticipated Live on the Avenue III event to postpone the pan showcase.

Video of Sunday's event shows performers huddled under a tent as rising flood waters rage around them.

Luckily, no injuries were reported and none of the instruments sustained water damage.

The event, which was made possible through the collaboration of the Trinidad and Tobago Music Company Limited (MusicTT) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Port of Spain City Corporation was the third in the Live on the Avenue series.

The event was meant to close off the first phase of the Live Music District with performances by HADCO Phase II Pan Groove and Nex Chapta.

Discussions are ongoing regarding the rescheduling of the event.

The event is postposed until further notice.
