Entrance to the Auditorium Restaurant and Lounge at Government Campus Plaza, Port of Spain.
The Auditorium Restaurant and Lounge will be another option that offers fine dining in the city of Port of Spain.
The Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (UDeCOTT) on Wednesday launched The Auditorium Restaurant and Lounge located at level 2, The Auditorium Conference Centre, Government Plaza, corner Richmond and Ajax Streets Port of Spain.
The restaurant will become fully operational from Monday, July 1.
Noel Garcia, Chairman of UDeCOTT told the media gathered at the launch that the restaurant was part of the initial designs and represents the culmination of the outfitting of the Government Plaza. He added that the project was completed within budget.
The decision was made to outfit the restaurant after struggling to find a private operator. UDeCOTT is hoping to operate the facility for about two years after which an attempt will again be made to find a private sector operator.
Garcia said, “We are of the view that this restaurant is a viable and feasible business operation.”
Continental dishes with a local twist will be on offer to locals and visitors alike and Garcia believes the restaurant is strategically placed to capitalise on its potential.
There’s an open-air bar in the space designated the Lounge and a sophisticated enclosed dining area.
Opening hours for the enclosed dining area are Monday to Friday from 6 am – 6 pm, while the open-air lounge opens on Mondays to Thursdays from 11 am – 8 pm.
