Watch: Woman accuses man of sexually abusing 15-yr-old relative

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said it is investigating a video of a woman accusing a man of sexually abusing a 15-year-old relative which has gone viral online.

In the video, which was shared online on Tuesday, the woman indicated that the man is from the Pleasantville/San Fernando area and said that he 'likes little girls'.

The woman, who has been kept anonymous in order to protect the identity of the 15-year-old girl, showed her house which was some distance away from where the man allegedly lives, claiming that the man entered her home while she and the 15-year-old girl were asleep and was found lying next to her in his underwear.

The woman, visibly upset, called on the public to share the videos and to watch out for the man.

"I sleeping in the same room with the little girl and this man sneak up in his boxers and lying next to his 15-year-old (relative). Pleasantville, Sando people, watch this man, he likes little girls...he raping, when allyuh see this man call the police," she shouted.

She added that when she initially attempted to file a police report she was barred from filing a report, and officers instead told her to file a restraining order.

"We call the police, the police say go and bring him up in the court, go and take out a restraining order and then we go do something," she said.

The TTPS said a police report was filed at the Mon Repos station and the matter is being investigated.

The TTPS has a 'one-door policy' which allows for police reports to be made at any police station.

Citizens who suspect children are being abused are urged to contact the police on 999, 555, or 800-TIPS, or contact the Trinidad and Tobago Children's Authority on 996 or 800-2014.
