Water supply disruption to Avocat and environs
Residents in Avocat and environs may encounter water shortages due to interconnection works on Friday, said the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA).
The company said in a statement today that the disruption would take place on Friday between 9 am and 9 pm.
WASA said this is necessary to carry out pipeline interconnection works at the junction of Fyzabad Main Road and Siparia Old Road, Avocat.
Affected areas include:
- San Francique up to Doorbassa Trace
- Sunrees Road, Murderer Hill and Ramjohn Trace
- Penal Rock Road up to Scotts Road, Aquar Village and Ramdeen Trace
- La Costena, Dil Mohammed and Debedial Road
- Solomon Knox Road
Customers are advised it may take up to 24 hours for the water supply to normalise after the repairs.
Drivers are also asked to proceed with caution near the work site.
Customers can contact WASA on 800-4420/4426; the company a limited truck-borne service is available with priority given to special homes and healthcare institutions.
WASa apologised for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience.
