Water returns to pipes as Desalination Plant back to full production

People affected by the maintenance work at the Desalination Plant are being advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the water supply to normalise.

In a release, the  Water and Sewerage Authority said Desalcott commenced delivery of water at 10 pm on Thursday and achieved full production of 40 million gallons daily at midnight on Friday.

Customers in parts of Central and South Trinidad have been affected by the planned maintenance work at the Desalcott owned and operated Point Lisas Desalination Plant.

'Customers are further advised that it may take an additional 48 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalise to some affected areas," WASA said.
