Water shortages in parts of North-west Trinidad

Residents and businesses in parts of North-west Trinidad may experience water shortages as a result of repairs being done by the Water and Sewerage Authority.

The company said in a statement issued Friday that customers in parts of North-West Trinidad served by the El Socorro Booster Station may experience an interruption in their water supply on Sunday 31st March 2019, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

This has become necessary in order to facilitate repairs to two defective valves along the pipeline transmission system.

Areas to be affected include:

Barataria

Belmont

Cascade

East Dry River

Morvant

Old St. Joseph Road

Parts of Westmoorings

Picton

Port of Spain

Customers are further advised that upon completion of these works, it may take up to twelve hours for the scheduled pipe-borne service to be normalised to some areas.

For further information or assistance, customers can also contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll-free at 800-4420/4426.

The Authority apologises for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
