The Water and Sewerage Authority is advising customers in parts of South-West Trinidad served by the Granville Water Treatment Plant, who are currently without a pipe borne supply, that this is due to mechanical problems that developed at the Plant on Thursday.
The Authority said emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 8 am on Friday.
Areas affected include: Granville, Cedros, Icacos, Coromandel, Fullerton, Los Gallos, Bonasse and Bamboo.
Customers are advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the service to normalise
to some affected areas in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.
