West Bees Supermarket denies claims employee tested COVID-19 positive

West Bees Supermarket has addressed a rumour that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post, the company said the information was false.

“Contrary to a rumour being circulated on WhatsApp, at the time of this post NO Westbees Supermarket staff have tested positive for Covid-19 and we are in fact open for business at our both locations.”

It added that safety measures to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus, are ongoing.

“We will continue to follow sanitization practices as suggested by OSHA and the relevant health authorities, eg.mandatory hand sanitisation for anyone entering the premises, mandatory mask policy, sanitisation of carts, bi-weekly biotech sanitisation spraying etc.”
