Why was Dillon Fraser killed? Police continue investigation

The killing of Dillon Fraser is still engaging the attention of police.

An autopsy was scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the Forensic Science Center as part of ongoing inquiries.

However, from initial reports, Fraser, 26, appeared to have been shot five times.

Police, however, are still trying to determine a motive, as Fraser was not known to them.

One of the theories police are working with was that Fraser was killed accidentally, as at the time of the shooting, other persons were said to have been in the vehicle along with him.

Police were told the incident took place at about 6.30 am on Monday while driving along Coconut Drive, Morvant.

The car came to a stop in traffic just before it had to turn off onto the Lady Young Road.

However, at this time a man emerged from the bushes at the side of the road.

He reportedly walked up to the car and begun shooting at the driver’s side while doing so.

Fraser was fatally shot and succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.

The other persons in the vehicle escaped unharmed.

Fraser was a member of Digicel’s Social Media team within the Customer Care Department and had been an employee with the company for almost two years.

More on this as it becomes available.
