Woman, 27, faces court for murder of common-law husband
A Las Lomas woman appeared before a Chaguanas Magistrate on April 18, charged with the murder of her common-law husband, 34-year-old Dexter Hospedales.
27-year-old April-Ann Mohan of Boy Cato Road appeared before Senior Magistrate Jo-Anne Connor at the Chaguanas 1st Magistrates’ Court.
Loop TT previously reported that Hospedales, of the same address, got into an altercation with Mohan when an unknown man came onto the compound and stabbed him.
Today, police are saying that Hospedales and a female relative got into a physical altercation which resulted in him being stabbed.
He was then taken to the St Helena Health Facility where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations were supervised by acting Insp Allister Jones of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region 3.
Mohan was charged by WPC Ola Prince on April 17 following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Joan Honore-Paul, on the same day.
The matter was adjourned to May 15.
