St Joseph police are seeking to identify the body of a woman which was found on Monday afternoon in Curepe.
The body was said to be that of a woman of African descent, in her 30s, medium build, with no identifying tattoos.
She was found in a shallow hole which was partially filled with water that was in an open lot of land off Havelock Street, Curepe.
The victim bore what appeared to be marks of violence, however, as it was partially decomposed, police are not certain what would have caused the apparent wounds, and as a result, an autopsy was ordered.
Anyone with information which can lead to the identification of the deceased is asked to contact the St Joseph police station, or they can give the information by calling 555 or 800-TIPS, texting 482-GARY, or utilising the TTPS App.
More on this as it becomes available.
