Woman raped by intruder at Longdenville home

A 28-year-old woman was allegedly raped at her Longdenville home on Sunday morning.

According to reports, the woman told police she was asleep around 3 am when she heard a noise coming from her front door, which she had locked earlier before going to bed.

The victim said she was then approached by a male suspect, who was armed with a knife.

The man then proceeded to rape the 28-year-old woman, during which she sustained injuries to her left hand from the knife. She managed to escape and ran to a nearby house for safety.

Up to Tuesday morning, police were said to be searching for a suspect in connection with the incident.
