Woman robbed at gunpoint in Aranguez

Police are searching for two men after they robbed a 37-year-old woman in Aranguez on Sunday afternoon.

The victim told police that at about 3.30 pm on Sunday, she was at her home along Sundarsingh Drive, Aranguez, when she was confronted by two men – one of whom was armed with a firearm.

The men then proceeded to announce a hold-up. The men then relieved the woman of her cash and valuables – including cellular phones, and $15,000 in cash that she had on her.

Thankfully, she was not injured in the incident.

Descriptions of suspects are as follows:

Suspect #1: A man of African descent, brown complexion, slim built, clad in a ¾ pants and dark coloured jersey, hat on his head with his eyes covered who was armed with an object resembling a firearm.

Suspect #2: A man of African descent, brown complexion, slim built, clad in a ¾ pants and dark coloured jersey, hat on his head with his eyes covered.

Anyone with information which could lead to the arrests of these two men is asked to contact the Barataria Police Station, or they can relay the information anonymously through 555 or 800-TIPS.
