Woman's body found in Morne Diablo

The body of a woman has been discovered in a forested area in Morne Diablo.

Loop understands that around 7:00 am on Thursday, officers of the Southern Division and other specialised units of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service received key information which led them three miles into a forested area in the Morne Diablo area where they found the woman's body.

The body appeared to be partially decomposed.

Crime scene investigators are said to heading to the scene.

The woman's identity is not yet known.

Mark Sookdeo, husband of missing mother-of-two Ria Sookdeo, said the body is not that of his wife, as the body had a tattoo but his wife does not have any tattoos.
