Woodbrook man robbed of vehicle, police searching for suspects

Port of Spain police are currently searching for two men who robbed a 31-year-old man of his vehicle at gunpoint on Friday morning.

According to police reports, the victim was walking along Alberto Street, Woodbrook, around 1.05 am Friday morning when he was confronted by two armed men.

One of the men pointed a firearm at the 31-year-old and demanded that he hand over his cash and valuables.

The victim gave over a quantity of cash as well as the keys to his white Suzuki Grand Vitara which was parked along the roadway.

The assailants then escaped in his vehicle. 

The police were notified and a team of officers from the Port of Spain Division, the Western Division, and the Stolen Vehicles Squad are currently investigating the report.

LoopTT was told that investigators are following several leads with the aim of making arrests in the immediate future.

PC Aberdeen is continuing inquiries into this matter.
