Works Ministry addressing Rousillac landslip Loop News Created : 25 October 2017 T&T News Landslip at Siparia Road, Rousillac via Twitter, The Ministry of Works and Transport A landslip has been reported along the Siparia Road, Rousillac. The Works and Transport Ministry has confirmed that approximately two metres of the roadway has been affected due to the failure of a retaining wall. The roadway has also dropped about one metre in some areas. The Ministry’s district officers have been dispatched and are cordoning off the area. Meanwhile, heavy rains have caused a landslip at Bonair Road, Sangre Grande. Caution tape and barriers are expected to be placed around the damage. Motorists are asked to proceed with caution in light of these landslips. Several areas across the country have experienced landslips due to heavy rains since last week. Regional corporations along with a number of Ministries are working to ensure that relief is brought to those who have been affected by resulting floods.
