A woman police constable is currently at hospital preparing to undergo surgery, after being shot by her colleague at the San Juan Police Station on Tuesday.
Special Reserve Police Constable Bernard, who works as a warrant officer in the North Eastern Division, was reportedly unloading his firearm in the charge room of the police station when the gun went off.
SRP Bernard was shot in the finger while WPC Roxanne Sealey was shot in the abdomen.
Sealey was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital where she is undergoing treatment. Bernard is also currently at hospital.
