Young: Ministerial appointment a 'privilege'
This is how Minister of Communications Stuart Young has described the announcement of his appointment as Minister of National Security.
The announcement came by way of a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister just after midnight on Monday. Edmund Dillon, the former minister of national security has been reassigned as Minister of Housing and Urban Development.
In a post to Young’s official Facebook page, the Minister expressed his gratitude to serve given his latest assignment.
“This opportunity to serve as Trinidad and Tobago’s National Security Minister is a privilege based on the Prime Minister’s wisdom and calling.”
“I commit to continue to give my best to and for the country.”
Young also extended thanks to the Prime Minister and the citizens for the continued opportunity to serve.
He added that he looks forward to the new challenges ahead.
