YUMA band launch postponed
YUMA Vibe's Carnival 2019 presentation, scheduled for Sunday, July 8, has been postponed and will now be held on Sunday, August 12.
The band released a statement on Wednesday stating that its bandleader and CEO had to be hospitalized and undergo emergency surgery. Members of the band decided that it would not be appropriate to host the launch given the circumstances.
"This decision was not made lightly given that we are days away from the event, however, given the seriousness of his medical emergency and how important he is to the YUMA Family, we felt it was important to give him some time to recover so he could present for our ninth presentation, Jukebox."
Things don't appear to be at a complete standstill, it seems. The band indicated that fans and masqueraders still had a lot to look forward to in the lead up to the band launch.
"Over the next couple of weeks while we countdown to August 12 we'll be right here, keeping you in the loop with your best YUMA playlists; we will also be teasing you by launching some of our designs--so you don't have to wait till August 12 to see it all. The Jukebox is loaded and ready to play great music, creative, sexy designs and most of all, great vibes."
Interested patrons who haven't bought tickets to the band launch yet can still do so by contacting any one of YUMA's committee members.
