The St Lucia Zouks stunned the Barbados Tridents by three runs in a thrilling low-scoring encounter in the Hero Caribbean Premier League on Sunday at the Queen's Park Oval.

Chasing a paltry 93 for victory, the Tridents looks in control at 32 without loss, before Kesrick Williams 2/12, and Javon Glen 2/11 began to pull things back.

Glen dismissed Tridents top-scorer Johnson Charles (39) in the 14th over to start the slide.

The Tridents, still smarting from their hammering at the hands of the Trinbago Knight Riders the day before, fell apart, losing their next four wickets for 21 runs.

Needing nine off the last over bowled by Roston Chase, the Tridents could only manage five, falling to a three-run loss.

The St Lucia Zouks have now defended the lowest score in the history of the CPL, breaking the 114 set by Guyana Amazon Warriors only last week at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

Earlier, Najibulla Zadran (22), Leniko Boucher (18), and Roston Chase (14) led the Zouks to 92 all out in 18 overs.

Summarized scores: St Lucia Zouks 92 off 18 overs (Zadran 22, Boucher 18; Walsh 3/19, Holder 1/15) vs Barbados Tridents 89/7 off 20 overs (Charles 39, Hole 14; Glen 2/11, Williams 2/12). Zouks won by three runs
