$450K WASA valves reported stolen

Police are investigating the theft of four valves belonging to the Water and Sewerage Authority, which have an estimated value of $460,000. 

The robbery, which was reported on Tuesday by the Area Manager, is believed to have taken place sometime in August. 

Loop News was told that the Manager last saw the valves at the WASA compound along Rapsey Street, St Clair in August. 

However, on August 26, he made checks and discovered they were missing. 

An internal investigation was launched, following which a report was made to the police.
