75-year-old robbed, assaulted and threatened

Northern Division police officers are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who robbed, assaulted and threatened the life of a 75-year-old man. 

The victim told police at 1pm on Saturday, he was seated in his car which was parked at Rose Avenue, Macoya Gardens, with another passenger who snatched his two golden chains from around his neck. 

The two chains are valued a total of $4,000. 

When the elderly man resisted, the suspect assaulted him and threatened to kill him. 

The victim became afraid for his life and the suspect exited the car and fled the scene. 

Police have issued a description of the man: African descent, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, brown complexion, medium built, short beard, clad in a black coloured cap, white jersey, black ¾ pants, black mask.  

PC Vitalis is continuing inquiries.
