Annual payment for Firearm Users Licenses extended

Police Commissioner Gary Griffith is advising that due to the current circumstances facing the country as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be an extension of time for the payment of the annual firearms licenses to June 30, 2020, in the first instance.

Griffith said the decision was taken following talks with National Security Minister Stuart Young and the Director of the Legal Department of the Police Service.

He went on to advise licensed firearm holders that the highly anticipated firearms users cards will also be distributed and utilised along with their booklets.

The card does not replace the booklet but can be presented if the booklet is not readily available.
