Another COVID-19 death recorded, 16 more test positive

Trinidad and Tobago has recorded one more COVID-19 death, pushing the number of fatalities to 105.

Sixteen more positive cases have also been recorded.

Seven of those are from a repatriation flight from Barbados.

In its 4pm update on Saturday, the Ministry of Health indicated that 32,182 people have been tested to date.

Trinidad and Tobago's caseload stood at 5,503, with 1,380 active cases.

To date, 4,018 people have recovered from the virus.

There are currently 71 patients in hospital and 42 in step down facilities.

A total of 157 patients are in state quarantine and 1267 in home self-isolation.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram made the announcement while speaking at a media conference a short while ago.

The Ministry of Health will provide a clinical update at 4pm.
