Bank at home: Scotiabank encourages remote banking
While bank will continue to remain open as stay at home orders come into effect on Sunday, Scotiabank is reminding customers that maintaining access to their finances and banking services during the COVID-19 pandemic is one thing they won’t have to worry about with digital tools to ensure transactions can be done from the comfort of their homes.

Many of customers’ everyday banking needs can be done from home, 24 hours a day, through online banking and Scotiabank’s mobile banking app.
Customers will be able to view account balances and transactions, download statements, pay bills, pay credit card, transfer money between your accounts, transfer money to others at other banks, customise and receive Scotiabank Alerts and turn credit card use ON or OFF.
Scotiabank assured that customers’ financial information and privacy is protected by its high-security systems, from sign in to sign out.
Signing in to Scotia OnLine is safer and more secure as a verification code will now be sent to the customer’s valid email address, on each sign in.
The Scotia mobile app offers multiple layers of security- including support for fingerprint and face recognition sign-in (depending on the device and OS).
Customers will still be able to pay bills, transfer funds and withdraw and deposit cash at ATMs.
Through TeleScotia - telephone banking gives customers the freedom to bank 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any touch-tone phone in the country. Once a customer has a ScotiaCard with at least one Scotiabank account linked to it, they will have access to telephone banking by 62-SCOTIA (627-2684).
