Elderly man becomes latest COVID-19 victim, death toll rises to 107

There has been an additional COVID-19-related death according to the Ministry of Health's daily clinical update.

The person is an elderly male with pre-existing medical conditions and brings the cumulative number of fatalities to 107. 

In addition, 26 more people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Five individuals have been discharged from public health facilities with 55 recovered community cases. This has pushed the total number of recoveries to 4,246 out of the 5,594 patients who contracted the virus locally

Furthermore, active cases now stand at 1,241. 

Meanwhile, 62 individuals remain hospitalised, 31 are in step-down facilities, 198 in state quarantine and 1,148 in self-isolation.

To date, 32,692 people have been tested for COVID-19 in T&T.
