Family offers reward for information on kidnapping of businesswoman

Police are continuing their search for three men who kidnapped 67-year-old Mary Ali, the co-owner of Coss Cutters Supermarket located at George & Mary Street in Sangre Grande.

The woman's family is asking anyone with information to contact them.

They are also offering rewards for valid information which may lead to her recovery.

"Anyone who can assist us with any information that can lead to the safe return of our mother, Mary Ali, please contact us at this number, 273- 0123. (WhatsApp or phone calls). All call or information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality. Rewards are being offered for valid information that will lead to her recovery," the family appealed.

According to reports, around 7:50am on Wednesday, Ali was walking through the car park of the supermarket in the company of two security guards, when a grey Mitsubishi Ceda vehicle pulled up.

Two men exited the vehicle with what appeared to be weapons.

They then grabbed the 67-year-old woman and forced her into the vehicle.

The security guards, police were told, were threatened and ran off.

The vehicle then drove away.
