First COVID-19 patient improving, second one in more serious condition

The first COVID-19 patient is improving at the Caura Hospital, while the second patient at the Couva Hospital is more seriously ill.

However, that patient is also said to be improving.

Dr. Michelle Trotman provided an update on the two patients while speaking at a media conference along with Health Minister Dr. Terrence Deyalsingh on Saturday.

"The patient at Caura Hospital has been improving and we expect a recovery within the timeframe which can range between seven, 10, 14, 21 days plus. But we do expect a recovery for him.

The patient that is at Couva Hospital is more seriously ill. The good news is compared to yesterday that patient though critically ill, is improving."

There are no new confirmed cases of the virus in Trinidad and Tobago.
