Health Ministry update: 5,799 samples submitted to date

The Health Ministry said 5,799 samples have been submitted for COVID-19 testing to date, with the number of positive cases remaining at 133.

In its Sunday morning update, the Ministry 5,799 said samples were submitted both to CARPHA and the University of the West Indies site for testing.

The Ministry said 4,348 unique patient tests were completed, with 1,451 repeated tests.

The number of confirmed positive tests remain at 133, and the death toll stands at eight.

So far, 120 people have been discharged. 

As of Sunday morning five patients were warded at the Caura Hospital for treatment.

The Ministry said there are no people in any of their step-down facilities at this time.
