A Port of Spain man has been arrested and charged for trafficking marijuana after he was caught with the drugs near a school.
He had 67.9 grammes in his possession. Under current regulations, the legal limit for marijuana possession is up to 30 grammes, or four plants, per person.
The suspect, who is from Picton Street, was held within 500 meters of the Bishops Centenary School and as a result, he will face the heavier charge of marijuana possession for the purposes of trafficking.
