Man shot dead by cop, bystander injured in Tobago

A man is dead following a shooting incident in Tobago on Sunday night.

He has been identified as Keron Sealey, also known as 'Myrex' of Milford Court, Bon Accord.

According to reports, shortly after 10 pm police constable Damain Guy was at Milford Road, Crown Point in the vicinity of Uptop Bar and Lounge, when he observed Sealey armed with a cutlass, chopping another man.

Kenelle Alleyne, 19, of Hope Trace, Tobago suffered chop wounds to his left shoulder and a fractured left leg during the attack.

PC Guy drew his pistol and fired shots in the direction of the threat.

Sealey was shot and taken to the Scarborough General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A bystander, Frankie Dickson James, 34, of Golden Grove Road, Canaan was also shot in the abdomen.

Investigations are ongoing.
