McCann Worldgroup leads in creativity and effectiveness

The last 12 months has been great for local, regional and international accomplishments for the McCann Worldgroup advertising network.

In 2019 McCann was named Network of the Year at the last awards version of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and has now became the most creatively effective “Network of the Year” in the 2020 Effie Effectiveness Index for a third consecutive year. McCann Worldgroup Latin America and the Caribbean provided 30% of points that allowed the global network to achieve this enviable position.

The Effies are the highest ranking of advertising effectiveness in the industry and recognise global marketers who were the most successful in producing effective results with their marketing communications and included a number of global clients served by McCannn Worldgroup such as Coca-Cola and Nestlé.

Fernando Fascioli, President of McCann Worldgroup for Latin America and the Caribbean, expressed that “to tell a ‘truth well told’, to help brands play a meaningful role in people´s lives are our daily efforts. At this time, where the pandemic puts not only health to the test but the economy as well, creativity and marketing are vital to create demand and move the market. Something that without a doubt is recognised by The Effie Awards and we are very proud of this”.

In Trinidad, McCann Port of Spain was one of the most awarded agencies at the Caribbean 2020 Caribbean Advertising ADDY Awards, winning 12 Golds and 13 Silvers for such popular brands as bmobile, Angostura and Nestlé.

Additionally, McCann Worldgroup has been named Network of the Year by the 2020 Webby Awards.

Other industry-leading awards performance includes recognition by Adweek as the 2019 Global Agency of the Year and being named to Fast Company’s prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2020 and the #1 advertising agency network for creative effectiveness in the 2020 WARC Effective 100 rankings.

McCann Worldgroup was also recognised as the #1 advertising agency network for promoting good in the 2020 Good Report, a collaboration between WARC and ACT Responsible, and was named for the 5th year in a row to Advertising Age’s prestigious “A-List.”
