Movers robbed at gunpoint

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two bandits who robbed a two labourers yesterday. 

The victims are 24 and 23 years old. 

They told police that on Tuesday morning, they met a man in Arima and made arrangements to meet him at 5:00pm in Mt Hope to transport some building materials. 

The victims picked up the suspect and were directed to Robert Street, Laventille. 

On arrival, the suspect pulled a firearm, announced a hold-up and proceeded to rob the men of their cash and valuables. 

In all, over $12,000 in items was stolen. 

While the robbery was in progress, the suspect was joined by another man. 

The two suspects then escaped after running up some stairs along Roberts Street. 

One man is described as being of African descent, wearing a black and white Nike hat and blue ¾ pants and a white t-shirt. The other is also of African descent, stocky built, and was wearing a white T-shirt.
