Number of confirmed COVID-19 cases remains at 126
Update June 28, 2020, 9.00 pm:
The number of positive cases remains at 126, according to a 6.00 pm update from the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry said to date, 4,969 samples have been submitted for testing.
The update comes after the Ministry announced that Trinidadian nationals undergoing quarantine on the Enchantment of the Seas cruise ship would be brought ashore to finish their quarantine on land.
The decision was made following a meeting with the Ministry of National Security and other stakeholders after several positive cased of COVID-19.
To date, nine patients are being treated at the Caura Hospital.
The death toll remains at eight and the number of people discharged to date remains at 109.

The number of known COVID-19 cases remains at 126, according to the Health Ministry's Sunday morning update.
The Ministry said to date, there are nine positive patients at the Caura Hospital - no information was given regarding their conditions.
To date, the number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and UWI site for testing stands at 4,912, with 3,928 unique patient tests completed, and 984 repeated tests.
The Ministry said the number of positive cases overall increased to 126, while the death toll remains at eight.
To date, 109 people have been discharged, however, there are no positive patients in any of the Ministry's step-down or transition facilities.
