Officer accused of assault after report of domestic incident

Allegations of assault have been made against an Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Police sources told Loop News that the incident allegedly took place at the officer’s home in Arima around 9.45 pm yesterday and involved a woman known to the officer.

The victim told investigators that the two were in the living room of the home when they both got into an argument.

The argument, the victim alleged, became physical, and she claimed she was hit several times to her body and fist.

The victim later made a report to the Arima Police Station.

She was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where she was treated, and medical report was attained.

Sup Montrichard has been appointed to oversee inquiries.
