One more COVID-19 death brings virus death toll to 96

The Health Ministry has recorded another COVID-19 related death, bringing the death toll to 96.

No further details were shared as to whether the patient had co-morbidities (other health conditions).

In today’s media update, the Ministry also recorded an additional 16 positive cases over the last 24 hours, bringing the number of active cases to 1,549.

The Ministry said these cases will be processed at the discretion of the County Medical Officers of Health (CMOHs).

To date, the Ministry said 31,483 samples have been submitted for testing with a total of 5,297 positive cases recorded to date.

The Ministry said there are 3,652 recovered patients to date.

Currently, the Ministry said there are 81 patients in hospital, 55 patients at step-down facilities, and 299 patients at state quarantine facilities.

The Ministry said currently there are 1,413 people under home self-isolation.
