PM heads to Guyana on CARICOM mission

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley will travel with CARICOM Heads of Government on a mission to Guyana Wednesday morning.

The Prime Minister only last night returned to the country where he hosted a conference addressing several issues.

He was out of the country on an official visit to Ghana on invitation by President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo.

The Prime Minister will accompany CARICOM Chairman Mia Mottley and other CARICOM Heads of Government from Barbados, Grenada and Dominica.

Dr Rowley will leave on a LIAT charter flight due at Piarco from Barbados where he will join his CARICOM colleagues.

The delegation, after meeting with all the main actors in the Guyanese election impasse, will depart Guyana on Thursday.

Finance Minister will again act as Prime Minister until Dr Rowley’s return.
