Police: Diego Martin killing may have been botched robbery
Police believe that the killing of a 42-year-old Diego Martin fish vendor may have been the result of a robbery which turned fatal.
Homicide officials said they have no official motive for the killing of Marley “Dog” Ballantyne of North West Drive, Patna Village, Diego Martin.
However, they have since been told by relatives that Ballantyne had a quantity of cash in his possession before leaving his home.
When police arrived at the scene of the homicide, off Cicada Drive, River Estate, Diego Martin, the cash was missing.
Loop News was told the body of the 42-year-old was found along the roadway of Cicada Drive around 8.40 pm.
As a result of this killing, as well as the murder of Jesse Mascall, 22, who was shot dead on Saturday morning along Ravine Road, Petit Valley, police are expected to increase exercises and operations this week in the Western Division.
More on this as it becomes available.
