Police recover stolen car in Arima; suspect detained

The swift work of officers of the Arima police station resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle hours after a report was made.

A 20-year-old man from Pinto Road, Arima, has been taken into custody and is expected to be charged for larceny.

The vehicle was reported stolen from the Pinto community on Tuesday morning.

Officers of the Arima police station, led by Sgt Leopold conducted inquiries in the district yesterday, and the vehicle was found and seized.

The vehicle was examined by crime scene investigators and should be returned to its owner today.

PC Bonyun is continuing inquiries.

In an unrelated incident, a 29-year-old man from Lovers Lane, Arima, was also held in relation to a series of robberies which took place on September 11 in the district.

WPC Smith is continuing inquiries into that report.
