Cooking is a fun way to explore your creativity and bond with your loved ones.

Some days though, you just want to get in and out of the kitchen quickly with a tasty meal in tow.

Here are some quick and easy meals you can whip up for yourself and the family.


Broccoli Pesto Pasta


Serves 4

For Pesto:

4 cloves garlic

2 cups Garden Foods Broccoli Florets

½ cup fresh basil

½ cup The English Cheese Co. White Mild Cheddar Cheese, grated

¼ cup olive oil

½ tsp. Salt

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Toss broccoli mix with salt and olive oil.
  • Roast on a sheet pan until the edges begin to crisp and the inside of the broccoli is tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  • In a food processor, combine broccoli mix with any excess olive oil on the tray, basil and cheddar cheese.
  • Mix until a smooth consistency. If a thinner consistency is desired, add more olive oil, one tablespoon at a time while blending.

For Pasta:

1 lb. dry pasta (your favourite kind)

3 tbsp. salt

½ cup President Cooking Cream

  • Bring 6 qts. water to boil in a large pot.
  • Add salt and pasta. Boil for the recommended time on your pasta box until al dente, usually about 7-12 mins.
  • Once done, drain pasta. Toss with creamy pesto.
  • Add cooking cream and toss until combined.
  • Add final seasoning of salt and pepper.
  • Top with some shredded cheddar cheese and basil leaves and serve.
