Heavy showers have led to flash flooding and at least one blocked roadway due to falling trees, said the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA).

TEMA shared photos to its Facebook page on Sunday showing photos of flash flooding in Scarborough, and fallen trees at Orange Hill Road.

TEMA said Orange Hill Road was impassable until the trees had been cleared.

'CAUTION- ROADWAY BLOCKED AT ORANGE HILL ROAD. A tree has fallen at Orange Hill Road. The road is completely blocked and impassable at this time. CERT is on the scene at this time. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to proceed with caution in this area.'

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorologica Service warned of heavy showers and/or thundershowers on Sunday. An adverse weather alert and rivering flooding alert is also in effect.
