Despite losing to the United National Congress’ (UNC) Saddam Hosein for the Barataria/San Juan seat in last month’s General Election, the People’s National Movement (PNM) candidate, Jason Williams and the Progressive Empowerment Party’s (PEP) Albertha Purdeen met with the new MP to discuss plans for the constituency.

In a Facebook post, Hosein wrote that they “spent some time this morning discussing ideas and sharing plans for the betterment of Barataria/ San Juan. We stand united for the greater good of this constituency.”

Hosein and Williams shared an embrace on Nomination Day.

Following his loss, Williams vowed to still be of service to the area and to work with anyone seeking to improve residents’ lives.
