Shotgun found in Blanchisseuse

Police are searching for the owner of a shotgun which was found in Blanchisseuse.

In a statement, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said officers of the Blanchissesuse Police Station conducted an anti-crime exercise which was coordinated by Sgt. Ali and supervised by Cpl (Ag.) Babwah on October 17 between 1pm and 5:30 pm.

The TTPS said during the exercise, the officers received information that led them to Madamas Road, Brasso Seco, where they conducted a search in a bushy area off the said road. Cpl Babwah found one 16 gauge SBBL shotgun hidden in the bushes. The shotgun was taken to the Blanchissesuse Police Station for processing.

Investigations are ongoing.
