St Joseph man held for threatening family

A police exercise in St Joseph and Malabar on Saturday has resulted in the arrests of four people.

One man, a 34-year-old from Farm Road, St Joseph, was held for allegedly threatening the lives of a family that lives in the area.

The other three, who are between the ages of 19 and 55, were arrested for driving under the influence.

They are all expected to appear before an Arima Magistrate on Monday.

One person was issued a fixed penalty ticket for breaching the speed limit.

The operation was led by Snr Sup Ramkhelawan and supervised by a team of officers including Sgt Cassie, Cpl Bissoon and Cpl Superville, among others.

Similar operations are expected to take place this week, as police maintain a heavy presence in the Northern Division in the lead up to Elections.
